Work is to begin on a £205,000 road upgrade scheme in Lisburn.
The Transport NI scheme involves extensive reconstruction and resurfacing on an 860-metre section of road between Aghnatrisk Road and the entrance to the Eikon Centre on Halftown Road.
The project will improve strength and surface quality of the route, which is used by over 6,000 vehicles on a daily basis.
Work is to start on 24 February and is expected to be largely completed by 24 March, subject to weather conditions.
For the safety of road users and contractors the works will be carried out under a road closure between 9.30am – 4.30pm between Monday and Friday. Weekend closures will be required to complete the final surfacing phase. Diversions will be in place.
