EirGrid Opens Consultation On Ireland's Energy Future

EirGrid has opened a consultation on it's new initiative 'Tomorrow's Energy Scenarios 2017 – Planning our Energy Future'.

The firm recently held an information session in Co Mayo where a range of

industries and organisations gathered to hear more about four future energy scenarios.

The consultation on the scenarios remains open until 21 April 2017.

Fintan Slye, EirGrid chief executive, said: "At EirGrid, one of our roles is to plan the development of the electricity transmission grid to meet the future needs of society. However, we can’t do this on our own. We welcome input from all those who want to have their say on our energy future."
