Over 60 Irish Water customers in Arlow have been connected to a new watermain.
The ageing watermain in Ocean Crest was in a poor condition and 400 metres of a new water main have been installed to reduce leakage in the network.
The €85,000 investment included the laying of a new watermain on the road in front of properties and a new connection for properties to the water main. The work commenced in February and took four weeks to complete.
Ivan Corcoran, Capital Programmes Lead, East and Midlands Region, said: "The installation of the new watermain in Ocean Crest in Wicklow has ensured a more reliable and secure water supply for customers. Residents will also benefit from improved water pressure to their properties. This project is part of our ongoing investment in Ireland's water infrastructure in County Wicklow."
