Construction work has been completed on a new school building extension in Raheny, Dublin.
Over €750,000 was invested in the extension for Naíscoil Íde.
The facilities provide bright and spacious new classroom accommodation in a new two-storey building.
The Minister for Education and Skills, Mr. Richard Bruton TD, officially opened the new extension.
He said: "I am delighted to join John Swords, Chair, Board of Management, Fr. Paul Dunne, Raheny Parish, Clare Ring, the Principal, her staff and the parents and pupils of Naíscoil Íde today to mark the official opening of their new extension. They deserve great credit for their work over the years. Through the Action Plan for Education, which aims to make the Irish education and training service the best in Europe, we are investing hundreds of millions every year under our school capital investment programme to provide new schools and extensions to benefit thousands of students across the country."
