Work on a £350,000 scheme to install new kitchens and extend dining areas on Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) homes in north Belfast has been completed.
A total of 27 properties in the Northwick Drive area in Ardoyne have been improved and upgraded.
Malachy McKinney, NIHE's North Belfast Manager, said: "A scheme like this is a huge investment in both money and time and the work was completed over a period of 54 weeks.
"On average we spent around £13,000 on each home included in the scheme and we also took advantage of the work to do other upgrade activity.
"For example, in one case a property in Northwick was provided with a level access shower, making life a bit easier for the tenant living there.
"We hope the residents enjoy their new dining areas and hope that the kitchens they have received help them in their day to day life in their properties."
