Sinn Fein has urged the Department of Infrastructure to provide capital funding to prioritise the development of Greenway projects in Northern Ireland.

MLA and Infrstructure spokesperson, Phillip McGuigan, said the projects have proved "hugely beneficial" for local communities.

He said: "We have seen since the development of some key Greenway projects an increase in people using them and benefit to local economies surrounding them.

"They promote sustainable active travel and aid tourism. I want to see this potential realised right across the North and on a cross-border basis. The implementation of the department's Greenway strategy is key to this."
