Irish Water has agreed an action plan with Galway County Council and businesses in the area after a rise in seasonal demand in water supplies in Roundstone has led to pressure problems for many consumers.
It has been agreed that a booster station will be turned off from noon to 6pm daily to help preserve water and ensure a continuous supply for the majority of customers during peak business hours.
This follows on from leak detection work which was undertaken and some network reconfiguration work.
Irish Water is urging customers to be mindful of their water consumption during the summer period and to report any leaks they see on the public network.
