Fianna Fail has raised serious concerns after funding to help victims of this week's floods does not include businesses and community organisations.

Fianna Fáil TD for Donegal Charlie McConalogue said he is "extremely concerned" about the lack of support for the many businesses, which have been ravaged.

He said: "The funding announcement this morning does not include business owners – many of whom have no insurance. These people need to get their shops and businesses back up and running again. The past few days have been extremely traumatic and they are anxious to get confirmation that they will get assistance from the Government to help them get back on their feet. The Government needs to clarify immediately that there will be supports for them."
