Repair Work Starts At Wastewater Plant In Dublin

Irish Water is currently working to repair a mechanical failure at the Swords Wastewater Treatment Plant in Dublin.

The firm is working with a contractor and Fingal County Council to carry out the repairs. The mechanical failure impacts on the treatment process at the plant.

It is anticipated that there will be an odour in the area around the plant for a number of days.

The incident has been reported to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
