Fianna Fail, who put together the proposals, said a new community sports campus would serve the entirety of north Wicklow.
TD for Wicklow Stephen Donnelly said: "Sports clubs in the north of the county have been crying out for this sort of facility for years. For example, Ardmore Rovers, which will soon have 800 members, is without a home facility. Considering the amazing contribution that these sports clubs make to the local community, I think the time has come for the community to give back, and to give these clubs a home.

"Cllr Pat Vance and I will be hosting a public meeting on our proposals on Monday 13th of November at 7:30pm in the Esplanade Hotel in Bray. All are welcome to attend to learn about what we have proposed. We have already received support from many of the clubs who would benefit from these proposals, and hope that this is matched by residents."
