Sinn Fein has slammed a decision to approve plans for a student accommodation complex to be developed in north Belfast.
The Planning Appeals Commission, who previously refused planning for the development, overturned its decision and gave the go-ahead for the 10-storey building to be constructed on a site in Donegall Street.
MLA Carál Ní Chuilín said she will be exploring "all legal avenues to oppose the decision".
She said: "There is an overwhelming need for social housing in north Belfast and this decision flies in the face of that.
"Organisations such as the UN, the Committee for the Administration of Justice and the Equality Commission have cited the critical lack of social housing and housing inequalities in this area and throughout north Belfast, so local residents are understandbly furious at this decision.
"It beggars belief that the Planning Appeals Commission can approve such a development on a site originally earmarked at least in part for residential use and in spite of the clearly identified need for social housing."
