Carty Civil Engineering has completed a number of upgrades at the Proudstown Reservoir in Meath.
The €250,000 project replaced an old pipeline prone to leakage.
The new pipeline ensured a securer connection between the east and west reservoirs.
Other works included the replacement of associated valves and interconnecting pipework.
Work was carried out over a five month period.
Commenting on the project Michael Cunniffe, Operations Lead in the East and Midlands Region, said: "We are pleased to have completed these upgrades to the Proudstown Reservoir. The reservoir is approximately 40 years old with a high volume of water being lost through leakage. The upgrades have built in resilience into the network to ensure that we can move water across the network without interruptions to customers supply."
