The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) is being urged to inform tower block residents about refurbishment plans and additional fire safety measures that will be undertaken.
Sinn Fein made the call ahead of an NIHE board meeting which will take place today, 30 May.
North Belfast MLA Carál Ní Chuilín said residents need to know when and where they are being rehoused and what tower blocks that are being fast tracked for demolition.
She said: "The Housing Executive must also make it clear how it is going to tackle rehousing those people living in areas already struggling with a shortage of social housing and what rights sitting tenants will have to be housed within the same area.
"For those residents who own their own flat in blocks currently earmarked to be retained, they will need to know if they will be included in refurbishment.
"Those flat owners in blocks earmarked for demolition need to be informed about compensation and rehousing options.
"Since the tragic fire at Grenfell, tower blocks and their future have rightly been the focus of widespread concern.
"Throughout, Sinn Fein’s main focus has been the safety and security of residents and that will remain the case."
