Site Secured For Primary School Development In Fermoy

A new Educate Together primary school is to be established on the site of a former Technical school in Fermoy, Co Cork.

The Department of Education worked alongside Cork Education and Training Board to secure the site.

Education Minister Richard Bruton welcomed the news and congratulated the new patron, Educate Together. He also expressed his thanks to Cork ETB for facilitating the opening of the Fermoy school.

The new school is to open this coming September.

The development is part of the Education Minister's plans to provide more multi-denominational and non-denominational schools across the country.
