Work on a new £75,000 play park in Lurgan, Craigavon is now complete.
The new facility has been built by Farrans at Kinnego Marina on Oxford Island.
The part is one of a number being refurbished across the borough as part of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council's £4.75m Play Strategy.
Features include toddler and junior swings, an inclusive basket swing, see-saw, inclusive roundabout, play panels and multi-play climbing units. A range of seating has also been added so parents and guardians can come along and share in the children's play experiences, while the new facility is conveniently located right beside the outdoor gym so parents can have some fun too.
Speaking at the facility's official launch, Lord Mayor Councillor Julie Flaherty said: "This is my first play park launch as the new Lord Mayor, and it is heart-warming to see so many children already enjoying the facility and taking part in the official opening."
"When I was elected as Lord Mayor, I pledged to put children at the heart of my year in office, and to secure their future in this borough. I am delighted to see that our council is investing in facilities for young people of all abilities – the great variety of equipment in Kinnego ensures that this park is accessible for all children to be able to come down and enjoy playing."
