Work To Start On Resurfacing Project In Co Down

Construction work is to start on a £220,000 resurfacing scheme in Kilkeel, Co Down.

The work on Rooney Road is to begin on Monday, 10 September, and will extend a distance of approximately 1.3km from Newcastle Street to the harbour.

A temporary road closure will be put in place on part of the Rooney Road for Kilkeel bound traffic from 8am on Monday, 27 August, to 8am on Monday, 10 September. A diversion will be in place via Harbour Road, Mourne Esplanade, Knockree Avenue, Greencastle Street, Bridge Street and Newcastle Street.

Work is expected to be completed by 19 September.
