Resurfacing Work To Take Place On Ballynahinch Road

Resurfacing work is to begin on the B175 Ballynahinch Road in Drumaroad next week, Monday 01 October.

The £350,000 scheme involves extending the road 2.5km from its junction with Drumaroad Hill to a point 100 m east of the Carnreagh Road junction. Improvements will also be made to road drainage.

A daily weekday road closure will be in operation between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm from Monday 01 October until Friday 16 November 2018. During these times a diversion will be in place with traffic being diverted via Drumaroad Hill / Spa Road, Drumaness Road / Newcastle Road, Castlewellan Road/Ardnabannon Road and Ballylough Road.

The road will be open to traffic in the evenings during the week and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Work is expected to be completed by 16 November.
