Work Progresses On Roscommon Junction Scheme

Work is progressing on a road construction project in Mullymucks, Co Roscommon.

Roscommon County Council has announced an upcoming road closure to facilitate works on the scheme.

The N61 from junction with L7113 at Mullymucks, north to the tie-in with the New N61, will be closed from Monday 14 January until Friday 15 February.

This closure will allow for construction and excavation works to take place on the existing road carriageway. A new road surface will also be constructed on the junction to the new M1.

The council has also outlined alternative routes available during the works, which include New N61 to Gallowstown, Old N61 to Mullymucks and vice versa.
