Cavan Community Projects Secure Funding Boost

A total of 38 projects in Co Cavan have secured a funding boost under the government's Community Enhancement Programme.

Announced by the Department of Community and Rural Development, the programme provides capital grants to community groups and is targeted towards enhancing facilities in disadvantaged communities.

The Cavan projects have benefited from funding of €149,060, with one of the most notable works being the redevelopment of Kingscourt Community Centre.

The grant also supports a range of investment in all areas of communities, such as childcare groups, playgrounds, recreational groups, sports grounds, landscaping, and supporting the elderly.
