Portrush Development Boosted By Landmark FP McCann Concrete Pour

A new development in Portrush has been boosted with the use of FP McCann's largest ever ready mix concrete pour.

PRH Construction is delivering the six-storey Castle Linn apartment block, consisting of 24 luxury two, three and four-bed apartments.

The 600mm thick structural ground floor transfer slab/roof slab spanning the basement car parking is integral to the development. FP McCann's 40N concrete was specified with a slump design suitable for pumping into the reinforced steel mesh formwork.

FP McCann's Kilrea-based plant completed the 500m³ pour.

A 42 metre long Putzmeister concrete pump was utilised to accurately deliver the concrete into the structural floor slab. The pour was undertaken over a single day with 70 concrete truck mixer loads delivered from the Kilrea concrete plant some 25 kilometres from the site.
