The first bricks have been laid on the new £35 million leisure centre in Craigavon.
Contractor Farrans was joined by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council to celebrate the milestone.
South Lake Leisure Centre, which is being built adjacent to Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre, will feature an eight-lane, 50-metre swimming pool, a teaching pool, fun pool and a spectator gallery. It will also include an eight-court sports hall, studio spaces, squash courts, an indoor children's soft play area and a world class 1,000m2 gym.
Following completion of brick works, the building will be ready for the mechanical and electrical installations along with internal fit-out of the facilities.
It is on course for phased completion in 2020.
