The skateboard park at Moorefield Park will be officially opened on Saturday 13 April at 10am.
The project was completed with local councillors' allocation of €130,000 of Local Property Tax (LPT) and €50,000 from development levies collected in the general area.

Work involved the construction of the park as well as path and lighting upgrades.
The skateboard park forms part of the increased demand for child and youth services and facilities in the area.
It was also built under Kildare Play Policy 2018-2028 which identified potential locations for the provision of play facilities. A further 19 playgrounds are proposed under the plan, with two at advanced planning stages and two in construction phases.
