Ground investigation works will commence on Monday 15 April on the Cregagh Road and run for one week. This will help prepare the area for the scheme, confirming the location of existing service and assess ground conditions, to assist with the detailed design of the project.

A temporary lane closure will be in place on Cregagh Road from 9.30am to 4.30pm throughout the ground works.
Geda Construction is delivering the work on behalf of NI Water.
The flood scheme, which will commence in Summer 2019, will involve the construction of new sewers on Ravenhill Avenue and adjacent streets. Once complete, this project will increase the capacity of the sewerage system, significantly reducing the likelihood of out-of-sewer flooding and environmental pollution.
NI Water will host a public information session in the coming months to give more detailed information on the main project.
