Irish Water is moving forward with its €500 million national Leakage Reduction Programme as it looks to deliver improvements across County Cork.
The utility will be on hand in Montenotte on Monday 10 June to deliver water mains improvement works. A warning has been issued to local customers that there may be a disruption to the water supply from 3-7pm.
Areas potentially affected by the work include: Cahergal Park, Gordon's Hill, Cahergal Lawn, Cahergal Avenue, Mayfield Sports Complex, Dillons Cross, New Road, Gardiners Hill, Richmond Hill, Herbert Park, Ard na Laoi, Merrion Court, St. Annes Drive, St. Josephs Drive, Analee Grove, St. Christopher's Drive, Clifton Convalescence Home, Baile an Aire, Clifton Downs, St. Christopher’s Road, Murmount Avenue, Murmount Circle, Murmount Park, Murmount Crescent, Murmount Road, Iona Park, Iona Road, Colmcille Avenue, The Orchards, Springfort, Springfort Crescent, Care Choice Montenotte, COPE Foundation, COPE Pool, Woodlands, Woodlands Demense, Scoil Eanna and surrounding areas.
Following completion of the works, the water supply may take two-three hours to return as water refills the network.
