Resurfacing work has commenced on the Queensway A1 in Lisburn.

The £250,000 scheme will see a section of the road improved between Moss Road and Grand Street.

A lane closure is in place during weekdays between 9.30 am and 4.00 pm to facilitate the project. A 30mph advisory speed limit is also in place.

Overnight road closures will be introduced from 29 July to 02 August and 05-09 August between 7pm and 6am during the work.

The advisory cycle lane on Queensway at Lambeg/Hilden has also been temporarily removed as part of the scheme.

The project is expected to be substantially completed by mid-August.
