NI Water is set to postpone its sewer improvement works in Ballykelly, L'Derry, as Northern Ireland prepares to host The Open Championship.
Large crowds of around 190,000 are expected to attend the Portrush event from 14-21 July.
To accommodate this, Ballykelly will reopen to two-way traffic from Wednesday 11 July to Sunday 21 July inclusive.
Work will continue on as normal from Monday 22 July.
This work is essential to reduce the risk and impacts of 'out-of-sewer' flooding suffered in some areas of the community.
A lane closure will continuously be in place and normal working hours will be 7am to 11pm, seven days a week for the duration of the works.
