Leading Irish construction plant distributor, McHale Plant Sales is set to celebrate an important company anniversary later this year.
The company, established in 1994, will celebrate its 25th anniversary this September. The firm was founded on the grounds of Michael McHale Senior, late father of company director Michael McHale, who established the business in the 1950s.
McHale Plant Sales was then later formed as a national distributor of construction equipment by the young Michael McHale in the early 90s.
In 1994, coinciding with the company's establishment, McHale Plant Sales was appointed distributor in Ireland for Komatsu construction equipment. This appointment transformed the business and set a precedent for what was to follow.
McHale Plant Sales manages a portfolio of international brands that now includes Komatsu Forest timber harvesting equipment, Metso stone crushing equipment, Terex Ecotec shredders and conveyors, and Merlo telehandlers – all from its twin locations at Birdhill and Rathcoole.
Commenting on the success of McHale Plant Sales, a source close to the company said: "Without doubt, it has been their understanding of the sectors they serve, their closeness to the people who buy their products, and their ability to expand gradually by building on their strengths in a controlled and measured way. Having a distinguished user base and a first-class range of world-leading products, each one of which complements the other, has not done them any harm either."
