The Mourne Mountains Landscape Partnership has been named in the final shortlist for the 25th Birthday National Lottery Awards.
This partnership helped deliver a number of successful projects across Northern Ireland, including; the restoration of the three summit towers; Silent Valley walking routes; Binnian Tunnel Interpretation; Orientation panel design; and Erosion Control.
The project helped support the conservation and enhancement of the sensitive, diverse environment and rich cultural heritage in the Mournes, while connecting communities to the beautiful landscape, reviving traditional skills and inspiring creative new ways of celebrating this cultural place.
MMLP is competing with another nine projects in the Best Heritage Project Category, which also includes a £10,000 cash prize.
The winner is decided through a public voting system.
Voting will close on 21 August.
