Construction work has commenced on a €1.1 million housing scheme in County Cork.

Brendan Woods Construction has signed on to lead the building phase of the project, which will see six new homes developed in Radharc na Croise, Model Village, Dripsey. They will consist of two and three-bed houses.

A multidisciplinary team from Cork County Council's Architects and Housing Departments together with DOSA Consulting Engineers, John Kelleher & Associates and Deasy Walley Partnership helped move the project from design to construction.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Christopher O'Sullivan said: "I look forward to the completion of work on these homes and the continued delivery of housing to the people of Cork County. These high quality houses will make a positive difference to their residents, strengthening the community of Dripsey and the surrounding areas."
