Occupational health experts are set to descend on Belfast later this month for a landmark conference.
Northern Ireland's biggest ever Occupational Health Conference will take place on 20-21 November at the La Mon Hotel.
Led by the Workplace Health Leadership Group NI (WHLGNI), the event will create an opportunity for employers to hear about interesting case studies and up to date information on a range of occupational health related subjects.
The conference will focus broadly on HSENI's key workplace health priorities, including occupational cancers, respiratory health surveillance, musculoskeletal disorders, welding fume, mental health and employee wellbeing.
HSENI Chief Executive Robert Kidd said: "This event will reinforce the fact that workplace ill-health is preventable as well as highlight strong moral, legal and financial reasons for tackling occupational ill-health. I'm pleased that each of HSENI's workplace health priority areas are being considered. It is important that employers understand the most significant occupational health risks to our Northern Ireland workforce."
Wilson Lambe, Chair of WHLGNI, added: "By creating a positive, safe and healthy environment for employees, employers can increase morale, improve work‐life balance and, in turn, positively impact their business."
