Significant outages have been reported on the Sow Regional Supply Scheme which serves a number of customers across Wexford.

The scheme serves those north of Wexford town, the east of the county and also the extremities of Enniscorthy.

Irish Water has deployed a team to repair the outages, with work expected to be complete by 5pm this afternoon, 15 November.

There is also another outage affecting the Gorey Regional Supply Scheme which may see customers without water for several hours today. Crews are working to repair the burst main as soon as possible and alternative water supply will be made available if necessary.

Once repairs are completed, it may take longer for water to be restored to customers on higher ground and on the extremities of the network.

Irish Water has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
