Mechanical Breakdown At Meath Water Treatment Plant

An Irish Water team has been deployed to the water treatment plant serving Trim town, Rathmolyon, Summerhill following a mechanical breakdown yesterday, 07 January.

The County Meath plant suffered a mechanical breakdown, resulting in water being stored in reservoirs to supply customers in the area.


Customers have now been advised there may be disruption to supply following the essential repairs, which are expected to be completed later today, 08 January.

Following the completion of the repairs at the plant it may take a number of hours for normal water supply to resume for all customers.

Irish Water and Meath County Council have issued an apology over the inconvenience caused by this water supply disruption.
