Major Road Scheme Announced In Galway

A major programme of road improvements is set to begin on the N59 in Co Galway starting next week.

P & D Lydon Plant Hire Ltd has signed on to deliver the works, which will take place west of Letterfrack village.

Construction will begin on Monday 13 January and run for four months.

The work will involve road construction, road marking, access and accommodation works as well as drainage and ancillary road works. The contractor will also plane out the existing surface.

A traffic management plan will be implemented throughout the scheme.
