Over 400 new homes are set to be built in Delgany, Co Wicklow.
Planning permission was granted for a strategic housing development at Farrankelly, which will comprise 426 new homes.
Cairn will deliver the homes, consisting of 245 houses, 93 apartments and 88 duplex units within an overall site of 52 acres.
Providing views of the Wicklow mountains and the Irish Sea, this Farrankelly development will also feature over 11 acres of active open space which will include a sports pitch as well as a tennis court and an all-weather multi-use pitch, a children's play area and an informal kick-about area. This will be complemented by 10 acres of additional open space incorporating a substantial 650 metre pedestrian and cycle route greenway located along the northern boundary and separately running and training areas.
At the heart of the development is a residential amenity building which will contain a well-appointed multi-purpose residents room, gym and management facilities, with stepped access opening out into the adjacent open space.
Work will begin shortly in Farrankelly with an aim to bring the development to market some time during 2020.
