Newry Demolition Contractor Shortlisted For Awards

One of Ireland's leading contractors, The Tinnelly Group has been shortlisted for two prestigious national awards.

The firm, formerly known as Tinnelly Demolition, will compete at the Machinery Movers Magazine Industry & Operator Awards sponsored by Gaelic Plant Hire later this month.

These awards recognise excellence and reward outstanding achievements of individuals, operators and companies in the area of construction and quarry machinery.

Newry-based The Tinnelly Group has been announced as a finalist for Best Demolition Company sponsored by Kilcock Equipment Sales and Best in Health & Safety sponsored by Groundforce.

Commenting on the award recognition, Gareth Tinnelly, Director of The Tinnelly Group, said: "We are honoured to be shortlisted for Demolition Contractor of the Year on the back of a very successful year working on some of the leading demolition projects on Ireland. Being shortlisted is testament to the work of all our team."

Over 600 construction, plant and equipment professionals including manufacturers, dealers and construction and quarry companies are expected to turn out for what has been described the most prestigious construction and quarrying event of the year.

Brian Coogan, Managing Director of CQMS & Machinery Movers Magazine Industry & Operator Awards added: "The awards are an opportunity for us to formally acknowledge the excellent work being done by companies in our sector. The Machinery Movers Magazine Industry & Operator Awards will take place on 21 March 2020 at Lyrath Estate in Co Kilkenny.
