Improvement works are to commence on a £270,000 carriageway scheme in Bessbrook, County Armagh.

The works on the Millvale Road are to start on 31 August.

The improvement work will extend a distance of approximately 800 metres from its junction with the Camlough Road to a point 50 metres northwest of Archdale Estate. The scheme includes resurfacing of the carriageway and upgrading of road drainage.

Temporary traffic management arrangements will be put in place and will include the use of traffic signals.

The road will be fully open to traffic in the evenings during the week and all day Saturday and Sunday. Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times during the works.

The works are expected to be completed on 16 October.
