A public consultation has launched to develop a cross border greenway from Monaghan Town to Middletown in Armagh.

A total 12.2kms in length, of which, the part within Northern Ireland, some 2.5kms of the Ulster Canal Greenway, extends from Ardgonnell Bridge on the border, at the River Cor, to Annagola Bridge near Middletown.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, in conjunction with the contracting authority Monaghan County Council, is urging the public to give their views in relation to the Northern Ireland section of the proposal.

The deadline for submissions is 4pm, Wednesday 04 November.
