Work has commenced on watermain improvement works in Blackpool, Cork.

The work is taking place on Gerald Griffin Street, Great William O'Brien Street, Cathedral Walk, Watercourse Road, Thomas Davis Street and surrounding areas until Thursday 12 November.

During the essential planned works, homes and businesses in the areas area may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following these improvement works, water supply may take 2-3 hours to return as water refills the network.
