Work is ongoing to repair a burst water main in the Lough Park area of Westmeath.
The burst has affected around 300 households in Hilltown, Loughpark and Glendian.
Customers in these locations may experience low water pressure and/or water outages. Alternative water supplies (mobile water tankers) are in the following locations:
• Abbey in Fore Village
• Hilltown junction with Oldcastle Road from Castlepollard
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tankers and to boil the water before consumption as a precautionary measure. Customers should follow HSE and government COVID-19 advice in relation to social distancing when collecting water from tankers.
Shane Tynan, Irish Water said: "We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience. We will provide further updates tomorrow."
Irish Water is encouraging customers to conserve water while these essential repairs are underway.
