A programme of roadworks has been announced in the County Armagh village of Tynan.
The Department for Infrastructure is investing £450,000 to deliver resurfacing work on Kennedies Road, extending 3.1 kilometres from its junction with the A28 Killylea Road to Tynan Village.
This significant investment will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the road network to the benefit of all who use it.
To facilitate the works, it will be necessary to implement a road closure which will be in place from 8am until 5.30pm each day from Wednesday 18 August until Friday 03 September 2021. The road will be open evenings and at weekends.
During periods of closure traffic will be diverted via the A28 Killylea Road, B210 Coolkill Road, U8722 Chapel Hill Road and C191 Main Street, Tynan.
Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times although some delays may be experienced.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the closure.
