A programme of water improvement work is moving forward on the supply in Farranfore, Co Kerry.

These essential works may cause a disruption to water supply for customers in Farranfore, Firies, Ballyfinnane, Castlemaine, Kiltallagh,, Ballyseedy, Ballymacelligott, Ballinorig, Currow, Currans, Ballymacadam and surrounding areas. This notice is in place from 7pm on Wednesday 13 October until 7am on Thursday 14 October.

Throughout the work, homes and businesses in the above areas area may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following the completion of improvement works, water supply may take two-three hours to return as water refills the network. The project team will work to minimise any disruption.

These works are being carried out as part of Irish Water's national Leakage Reduction Programme which will, over the next four years, see €500 million invested to reduce the level of leakage across the country by fixing and replacing ageing water mains.
