Water Main Improvement Works In Farranfore May Lead To Disruption

Irish Water is advising consumers in Farranfore, Firies, Ballyfinnane, Castlemaine, Kiltallagh, Ballyseedy, Ballymacelligott, Ballinorig, Currow, Currans, Ballymacadam and surrounding areas that, as part of water main improvement works being delivered in Farranfore, there may be disruption to water supply from 7pm on Wednesday 3 November until 7am on Thursday 4 November.

During the essential works, homes and businesses in the above areas areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following the completion of improvement works, water supply may take 2-3 hours to return as water refills the network. Work crews will endeavour to complete works ahead of time in order to expedite the return of supply to the affected areas.

Irish Water understands this type of work can be inconvenient and will ensure our work crews make every effort to minimise any disruption these works may cause.

A stop-go system will be in place on the N22 at the works location for the duration of the works on Wednesday evening, 3 November and on Thursday morning, 4 November.

In order to facilitate preparatory works, the L-3002, Village Greens Road, Farranfore will remain closed from 8am on Monday 1 November to 6pm on Friday 5 November. Diversions will be sign-posted on approach.
