A burst water main has been repaired at Kent Bridge in Fermoy, Co Cork.
The incident happened yesterday, 01 November, resulting in supply interruptions for customers in the north of Fermoy.
Irish Water and Cork County Council deployed a team to the site to complete the complex repairs. Due to the need for extensive traffic management onsite and for the safety of dedicated water services crews the repair of the burst took place until early this morning, 02 November.
The repairs were conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the area and restore water for all customers.
Irish Water understands the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and thanks them for their patience as the normal water supply was restored.
