IPI Annual Conference Set To Take Place

The Irish Planning Institute is getting ready to host its Annual Conference later this week.

Taking place on 18-19 November in Wexford's Clayton Whites Hotel, the event will feature important briefings from the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, in the wider context of the Housing for All and the National Development Plan. The theme is 'Delivering Plan Led Development', with topics set to include Post Covid Recovery, City Growth Strategy, Project Funding and Implementation, and Delivering Compact Growth.

Dr Conor Norton, President of the IPI will deliver the opening address and speakers will include:

• Paul Hogan, Chief Planner, Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government

• Tom Enright, Chief Executive, Wexford County Council

• Orla Carroll, Director of Product Development, Fáilte Ireland

• Claragh Mulhern, Senior Adviser at Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage

• Nuala Gallagher, Director of Services: Planning, Environment and Placemaking at Limerick City and County Council

• Stewart Logan, Senior Adviser at Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage

• Lisa Clifford, Principal Officer at Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage Peter Burke TD will deliver the Ministerial Address on Friday 19 November.

The conference this year is hosted by Wexford County Council and sponsored by Fáilte Ireland.
