An open forum has been held in Dún Laoghaire exploring the facts around the introduction of wind energy generation on the east coast of Ireland.
The Green Party Dun Laoghaire and Minister Ossian Smyth welcomed locals to the event, which featured a panel of experts discussing the implications and benefits of wind energy in the Irish Sea, their impact on the environment and what, if any, viable alternatives there are. These experts covered the ecology, energy, engineering and legal industries.
The forum took place in the National Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire at 7pm yesterday, Thursday 10 March.
