On day one, (11 May) of the event, Paul McCormack is the first speaker at 10.30am. Based on the work of the GenComm, SMART H2 and H2 CAT projects, Mr McCormack will speak on 'Renewable hydrogen for a sustainable Europe and future clean transport and industry sectors'.

Also on day one, Bill Ireland, CEO, Logan Energy, will speak on 'Green H2 production, distribution and refuelling for buses: A case study from Belfast'.

On day two, (12 May), Dr Nigel Holmes, CEO, Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, (SHFCA) will make an address: 'Building the hydrogen economy across Scotland'.

Also on day two, Carlos Meiuto from Repsol Sinopec Resources will speak on the 'Flotta Hydrogen Hub-optimised green hydrogen production for Orkney, Scotland and Europe'.

Looking forward to the event, GenComm Programme Manager, Paul McCormack, said: "Hydrogen can be the catalyst for a sustainable future. We can technically and financially optimize the production and commercialisation of renewable hydrogen. The world in facing our climate and energy security challenges has a growing realism about where and how hydrogen will play an ever growing role in our energy systems. Hydrogen is a key energy vector of the future and will address the key challenges of hard to decarbonise sectors.

"There is significant momentum across the entire hydrogen value chain and it is accelerating cost reductions for hydrogen production, transmission, distribution, retail and end applications."
