Farrans Recognised For Excellence In Workplace Wellbeing

Northern Ireland-based contractor Farrans has been recognised for its commitment to wellbeing with a prestigious award.

The firm recently won Best Wellbeing in the Workplace Strategy Award – Large Business at the Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards.

The award recognises businesses with healthy and happy staff which has an excellent approach to work-life balance, health and wellbeing practices. In addition, the award considered those which have support and policies in place to benefit their employees while getting results.


Farrans has demonstrated a commitment to invest significantly in the wellbeing, physical and mental, of all its employees, across all locations of the business.

Following feedback from employees, Farrans gathered a better understanding of the openness to conversations around mental health, and the desire for further training. The company went on to name a dedicated Mental Health Champion, Lisa Haycock, who spearheads its training programme, and who has created a Well Together Strategy.
