Repairs have been complete on the water supply in Kanturk, Co Cork, after excavation works impacted some local customers.
The unplanned outage resulted in low pressure or a loss of supply yesterday, 27 July.
Irish Water crews were mobilised and worked to repair the burst main as quickly as possible.
Areas affected include Barnacurra, Kiskeam/Ballydesmond, Boherbue, parts of Knocknagree, Dromagh, Lisrobin, Clash, Taur and surrounding areas, with a population of between 500 and 1,000 affected. The estimated restoration time was 10pm yesterday evening, however premises at the extremities of the network or on higher ground can take longer to get fully restored.
