Safe-T-Cert has successfully retained its membership of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Forum.
This decision was reached following a recent reaccreditation audit.
Companies that are certified by Safe-T-Cert can continue to benefit from 'Deem to Satisfy' arrangements with other SSIP registered members meaning there is no need to hold multiple health and safety accreditations, particularly if working in Great Britain.
Safe-T-Cert certification also enables certified companies to meet the Buildsafe-NI Action Plan requirement that all main contractors and first tier subcontractors with five or more employees tendering for public sector works contracts must have a health and safety management system certified by a third party.
SSIP is a group of health & safety pre-qualification schemes supported by the HSE which aims to streamline prequalification and encourage straightforward mutual recognition between its Member Schemes.
