The new-look Student Union at Queen's University Belfast has welcomed in students for the 2022/23 academic year.

Marcon was appointed to deliver the specialist joinery fit out package for the new four-storey development, which replaces the original building which was opened in 1967.

Marcon delivered all specialist joinery, solid surface cladding, polished concrete worktops, and metal work throughout the four-storey building.

The building includes vibrant social and commercial spaces such as the SU Shop, the SU Bar, a Mandela Hall entertainment venue, and state-of-the-art facilities for clubs and societies.

It also comprises facilities to support student life, through student guidance, informal learning zones and supporting offices to aid learning, development and employment opportunities.
